Casinos BC was already attracting a small but loyal segment of the Chinese Mandarin-speaking consumer segment, but it wanted to grow its presence further. So Hamazaki Wong Marketing Group worked with the organization to position it as a one-stop destination for entertainment and leisure by showcasing its amenities beyond the gaming experience.
The brand’s spring campaign ran across print, digital and social media to drive awareness and excitement for Casinos BC in the Metro Vancouver market. The creative used neon images to highlight everything it has to offer – a place for food, entertainment and friends – to reach a wider and younger audience. It also used larger-than-life hanzi characters, which could be optimized to call out special features and promotions.
Despite being cut short by COVID-19 halfway through the campaign’s prescribed run, the brand managed to double its goals in half the time.
