As Canada’s original creative competition, the Marketing Awards have been at the forefront of recognizing the best body of work in advertising since 1923. Over the years the program has expanded to encompass all areas of marketing creativity.
Every year, the Marketing Awards jury brings together over 100 of the top creative minds from all sides of the Canadian advertising and design industry to curate the most standout work in six main sectors: Advertising, Craft, Design, Digital, Multicultural and Public Service Advertising, with categories spanning Branded Content, Direct, OOH, Pharma, Health & Wellness, PR and others.
The Gold M trophy is a symbol of top-rated creative excellence and the highest calibre of execution, while the Marketing Awards Annual showcases the best of Canadian creativity across all disciplines, from coast to coast.
Since 2017, when the Marketing magazine portfolio was acquired by Brunico Communications, the awards program has been overseen by strategy magazine, Canada’s national marketing and media publication.
In addition to national B2B brands strategy and Playback, Brunico's global entertainment industry focus includes Kidscreen and Realscreen publications and their related international film and TV awards programs, Summits and Festivals, as well as the Banff World Media Festival.
