From street hockey to 6:00 a.m. arena scrums, “Who’s going in net?” is a battle cry used to ordain the ice hockey keeper before a hockey game can begin. The anthem spot of Montreal-based CCM Hockey’s “We Are in Net” campaign, used to promote its Eflex 5 line of goalie equipment, celebrates this battle cry, highlighting the guts, physical toughness and mental resilience it takes to actually answer it. In editing the long-form spot, Nova Film layered footage of children playing hockey with shots of professional players and other imagery, creating a fast-paced spot that elevates the goalie’s role to heroic heights.
