CASE SUMMARY

Le Diamant was inspired by Robert Lepage, a theatre director who always dreamed of a performing arts venue in the heart of Quebec City. The Diamond Theatre (as it’s translated in English) was named after the precious stone, with its entire brand identity reflected by the lines and dimensions of a cut diamond. It’s a tribute to the many diverse facets of the theatre’s programming and architecture. For example, in posters, the iridescent light emanating from the gem illuminates various performances, from wrestling to opera. Le Diamant, and all of its visual elements, embodies Lepage’s creative spirit and the venue has since become a cultural treasure.
