Ming Pao Daily News
"Yellow Helmet"
Captus Advertising

CASE SUMMARY

Hong Kong reporters have, in the past year, faced social unrest, violence and rioting in the streets. To thank the journalists at Ming Pao Daily (a Chinese newspaper in the city) for their work on the ground, agency Captus Advertising ran an arresting print ad that also congratulated the paper for covering the hard news every day for the last 26 years. The ad contained a simple yellow helmet as a symbol of the daily hardship and challenges that are faced by reporters as they do their job while sometimes dodging tear gas and fists.
