CASE SUMMARY

The province of Prince Edward Island is known as a peaceful and quiet place. But the powerful edit of “Not Humble” by Outsider Editorial paints a picture of a community humbled “By winds. By tides. By briny waters that rarely forgive and seldom forget.” Paying tribute to the history and work ethic of PEI’s fishing communities, the 80-second spot progresses quickly, interspersing shots of families at home and fisherman at sea, as they witness the break of dawn and nature’s dark, harsh elements. In its final moments, the video cuts to a more genial scene, with the fishermen, now home for the evening, celebrating the fruits of their labour in the company of family and friends. “PEI Seafood. It’s the world’s finest,” the narrator says. “We’ve worked hard to earn it. And now, we offer it to you.”
