Impaired driving PSAs often rely on fear and shock, but CAA’s “If You Can’t Drive Your Body, You Can’t Drive Your Car” took a more humourous preventative approach. As cannabis edibles have become more normalized in Canada, their delayed effects continue to catch users off guard, making even simple tasks feel unexpectedly difficult. The campaign used a stoner-comedy lens to turn basic missteps into a clear signal that something isn’t right. The films show friends stepping in before someone gets behind the wheel, reinforcing responsible behaviour without judgment. With a bright, stylized visual approach and a light, non-moralizing tone, the work connects with audiences while delivering an important message.
