"Tyler's Walk"

Ahead of the Winter Games, Air Canada needed to connect with Canadians while expressing resilience and national pride. “Tyler’s Walk” uses the journey of Paralympian Tyler McGregor to anchor the message in something lived rather than stated. The film unfolds within a single environment – a hospital corridor designed as a continuous, linear space – allowing the story to play out without interruption. As Tyler moves through it, the space holds multiple moments at once, with memories surfacing through shifts in light, texture and detail. The score was composed in three acts, beginning with restraint and loss, then moving through resilience and hope before rising to a final crescendo. As Tyler walks through the hospital corridor, the music evolves with him, mirroring shifts in memory, perspective and emotion, and incorporating real audio from Tyler’s life. The film launched organically on social ahead of the Games, before rolling out across digital and broadcast.
