Faced with rising wildfire risks – and the fact that 67% of Alberta’s wildfires are caused by humans – the Government of Alberta launched “Wildfire Awareness,” a compelling wildfire prevention campaign. Using immersive sound design and powerful storytelling, the radio spots (“Campfire,” “Fireworks” and “Burn Pile”) walk listeners through everyday moments that quickly escalate into catastrophe. Each ad builds tension through sound cues, highlighting how easily carelessness can spark disaster. A unifying call to action – “Don’t be that person” – reminds listeners that prevention starts with individual responsibility.
