“The Inflation Cookbook” is an innovative grocery shopping tool designed to combat food inflation in Canada, addressing the challenges faced by millions of food-insecure Canadians. A collaboration between SkipTheDishes and Dentsu Creative, it utilized an algorithm that continuously monitored price changes of over 400 ingredients across major online supermarket websites in real time. Users could personalize the tool based on their location, family size and budget to receive a weekly report filled with items that have experienced price drops, along with a list of items that have seen price increases.

The service also included SkipExpressLane, a grocery delivery platform that ensures the best deals are delivered within 25 minutes. Partnering with renowned chefs and nutritionists, “The Inflation Cookbook” turned these recommended items into healthy AI-generated recipes, ensuring that smart shopping doesn’t compromise nutrition.
