CASE SUMMARY

A woman in a pant-suit, a tidy kitchen, a bucket, a leaky roof, a telephone and some surprisingly enjoyable call waiting music. That’s all it took to create this Goldwinning spot on a shoestring budget. Lg2 produced the “Call Waiting” spot for the Orchestre symphonique de Québec in a pinch, with nothing more than a couple static shots to demo the likeability of orchestral music. A woman is shown on a call, seemingly glazed over as she waits patiently for the operator to pick up, with her leaky ceiling dripping water into a blue bucket. The operator finally connects. “Claims department,” he says. “Can you put me back on hold? Please,” she pleads. The end tagline “You’ll like it more than you think” hits the funny bone every time.
