"A Free Press Stops Bullets"
Barrett and Welsh

CASE SUMMARY

Countries like India, China and the Philippines, which have a weak free press, tend to breed courageous news reporters who stand in the face of danger to expose the truth. You could say they have enough grit and determination to stop bullets. In an effort to shine a light on the integrity of these journalists who have immigrated to Canada – a country which does not adequately reflect diversity in the media – the New Canadian Media organization created an online film, which incorporated typewriter sounds and the subtle periods of an ellipses to focus on the need for reporters who know what it takes to go up against anti-free-press regimes.
