“Road Warriors” (as WestJet likes to call them) are those who jet set around the world, far away from their loved ones. Having traditionally catered to leisure travellers, WestJet wanted to connect with these business travellers in a way that gives back. Enter the “Flight Light,” a night light that uses live flight data to project a travelling parent’s flight path onto their child’s bedroom ceiling. The light was modeled after the WestJet Dreamliner and parents could send messages and emojis that would project from the device, letting their kids know they’re thinking of them. Sentiment for the campaign was 78% positive (above its 55% average), with “Road Warriors” praising WestJet for understanding the needs of a travelling parent.Credits
