CASE SUMMARY

Fifteen-year-old Lily Rice takes centre stage in this minute-long spot for Toyota’s “Start Your Impossible” Olympics platform. A wheelchair-bound paraplegic, Rice speaks of her Paralympic dreams and of becoming the youngest person to ever complete a wheelchair backflip. Revolver Films went to great lengths to capture the scale of Rice’s athletic pursuits. Shooting in Kiev, Ukraine and Rome, Italy the shop built many of the set pieces, including a concrete skate park, towering pillars and stadium seating. Visual effects converted the location (a bus graveyard) into a full-sized Olympic venue for the final sequence. The spot has been seen in more than 50 countries and translated into many languages.
