Two arms bound by the wrist show a person in bondage, but the shape of the hands resembles the tip of a pen. The work promotes Amnesty’s writing campaigns that ask people to lobby governments to free or acquit political prisoners. The 2018 campaign focused on women activists who face prison sentences for their advocacy.
