As part of an effort to raise awareness of the day that commemorates those who died in workplace accidents, WSIB wrapped a Toronto streetcar in black and adorned its front with a wreath. While the streetcar made normal rounds, on the day before the Day of Mourning, it ran empty during rush hour. Its destination sign said only “In Memoriam.” Both media and commuters paid attention, driving more than 10 million impressions.
