Hellmann’s faced new competitors last year and needed to defend its position with its “Real Food Movement.” It saved food that would have been discarded from a local grocery store and fed an entire stadium of soccer fans for free – all to make the point that “real food is too good to waste.” More than 13.5 million earned impressions later, it had defended its market share.
