Le Grand jardin de Sainte-Justine

When you think of a garden, you rarely think of an indoor kids’ play space. But to unveil its new wing, Montreal’s childrens’ hospital Sainte-Justine did just that, turning its front halls into a brightly coloured indoor “garden” to welcome kids. With cutouts and murals in the shape and theme of an outdoor space (think: giant geometric watermelon slices and simplified tree leaves), the garden also provides a bit of history to the 112-year-old institution.
