To highlight that poverty isn’t always easy to spot, the Salvation Army rolled out a 15-second Christmas spot featuring an aging waitress in a traditional diner. So hungry is she, that she surreptitiously snags a bite of a patron’s leftovers before continuing on with her job while Silent Night plays in the background.
