To promote a new YouTube talk show hosted by Carly Fleischmann – a 21-year-old woman with non-verbal autism – John St. tapped Hollywood A-lister Channing Tatum to be her first guest. As part of Fleischmann’s efforts to teach the world about autism, she hosts the series using a computer-generated voice. Launched during Autism Awareness Month with the help of Tatum, the first episode generated more than 3.6 million views and her channel gained 200,000 new subscribers. The show also unveiled a splashy brand identity. The logo is an impression of the keyboard strokes that Fleishmann types to have her computer say “Speechless” out loud. The same technique was used to promote Tatum’s appearance, this time using his keystrokes in poster designs.
