After a father pleaded for his son, who was convicted of raping a woman, to have a reduced sentence – saying his life shouldn’t be ruined for “20 minutes of action” – White Ribbon co-opted the phrase to create an integrated campaign. Through OOH, digital and print, “#20MinutesofActionforChange” encouraged fathers to speak with their sons about consent, providing tips and information about how to have the conversation, and also using social media to spread the word.
