While WD-40 is an effective tool to eliminate your doors’ squeaks and creaks, there are those rare occasions when you might actually want the creepy noise. During Halloween, the brand rolled out a motion-activated app that released haunting creaks when a door opened. Consumers simply had to hang the phone on the door in a specially created door hanger that the brand mailed out to consumers (any old bag would also do the trick) and then choose one of three different sounds to creep out unsuspecting trick-or-treaters.
