CASE SUMMARY

To help the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation increase donations, Cossette created print collateral that showed the human side of the org’s cutting-edge research. Each call for donation featured real people, intimate photography and personal notes with handwriting samples saved from when they received treatment at the hospital. Some of their injuries and illnesses were difficult to show visually through photos, so the team used type to illustrate the traumatic effects of brain injury, portraying the different issues through photoshop manipulation and experimental layout. The overall effect created a piece that was intimate, emotional and visceral.
