CASE SUMMARY

Sid Lee griped about the overuse of stock music in three audio ads that touted TA2’s own selection of unique, original tracks. The spots used cliched instruments from a ukulele to an electric guitar as the back-track for voiceover in fictional brand radio ads. The longwinded copy ended with the a call for advertisers to do something radical: be original. The ads end by explaining, “Because when everyone uses the same stock music, everything sounds the same. Get an original track from TA2 Sound and Music, and sound different.”
