CASE SUMMARY

Non-celebrities dream of having a Jeremy, a personal assistant so eager to serve that his work comes to feel like a dream job. “My favourite part of my job is... well, it’s probably everything. I’m a bit spoiled,” says Jeremy, a celebrity assistant, in a pre-movie spot for Visa, a long-time sponsor of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The spot, by BBDO, aims to reinforce the benefits of Visa Infinite Concierge – a concierge service that assists with everything from dinner reservations to vacation itineraries – in front of an audience familiar with celebrities (and their overzealous entourage). Jeremy has no bad days (“That’s kind of my motto”). He runs around his employer’s mansion, completing tasks as she barks commands from the other room. “I’ve always got to be on my toes,” he says. “I really like that.” The film aired before more than 200 premieres at TIFF and appeared in major theatres around the GTA.
