To help get books to Quebec school children, Sid Lee recorded kids asking for specific kinds of stories. Their recorded voices were put into bookmarks sold at bookstores. If a shopper purchased a book and placed it inside the campaign donation box, they received a thank-you video from that same child. The campaign is meant to increase Quebec’s functional literacy rate above 50%. With 150 million impressions, 100,000-plus books were donated.
