To encourage shoppers to purchase its food products and kitchen items, IKEA rolled out a simple illustrated recipe poster to help consumers get over the intimidation of trying a new recipe. The tear-away signage, set up throughout the store (particularly near the food and kitchen sections), was printed on oven-safe parchment paper and featured line-drawn images of ingredients in their pre-measured sizes. All shoppers had to do was fill in the empty spaces with the right foods, roll the meal up and toss it in the oven.
